What do you think of our School?
We are always keen to receive feedback, on what we do well, what we don’t do as well, and how we can get even better. To help us gain this feedback I would be grateful if you could spend 5 minutes completing a short questionnaire online. This can be done completely anonymously, there is no requirement for you to put your name. There is a link to the questionnaire on the front page of our website, or it can be accessed directly from https://forms.gle/KDETcq3WweDkKivb9 Paper copies of the questionnaire are also available from the school office, and we will keep the link open until Monday 9th December. We will share the results with you before we break up for Christmas.
Children due to start school in September 2020
As I am sure you are aware, our budget and staff allocation is based on pupil numbers. In January the Department of Education, Sport and Culture (DESC) will ask us to predict our pupil numbers for next September. If you have a child who was born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, or know somebody who does, we would be grateful if you could let us know, so that we can ensure that we include them in our numbers. At this stage a simple text message with their name and a parents name is all we need, or you can pop into the office and let us know.
Over the next few weeks we will have lots of events taking place in school. These include:
Friday 6th December - Christmas Fair
Wednesday 11th December - Christmas Lunch. We will assume that children that normally have school lunch will have Christmas Lunch on that day. A separate letter will be sent to children who have packed lunch to give them the option to join us.
Wednesday 18th December - Christmas Concert. Your child should have already given you a letter about tickets for this, and a letter about costumes.
Thursday 19th December - Christmas Parties. Children can wear party clothes all day. There will be no children going to Ardwhallan.
Friday 20th December - Christmas Jumper Day. This is a week later than the official day, but we will still be donating all money raised to the Children In Need Christmas Jumper Day appeal.
Does your child ride their bike to school?
Do they have lights on it?
Do they have something bright and reflective to wear?
They might just need them now it is getting dark by 4.00pm.
