The first Learning Log of the year has produced some fantastic work, which the children are all very proud of. Thank you to everybody who supported their children with this task.
After half term we are going to be welcoming to our School Mrs Gaines who is going to be working alongside Mrs Cranmer in Class 3 until February. If you see her around school please say hello.
After half term children in Class 2 will be attending Ardwhallan each week, and the children in Class 3 will be having a P.E. Lesson in school. If your child is in Class 3 please can you make sure they have a P.E. kit in school ready for their first lesson on Thursday 9th November. Children in Class 2 will have their first visit to Ardwhallan on Thursday 9th as well and a separate letter is attached with further information.
Be Safe, Be Seen
As part of the road safety campaign we have been given some high visibility umbrellas to give out to the children. All of these are identical, so if your child decides that they want to bring it to school please can you ensure that it is clearly named in a way that does not wear off / wash off in the rain.
If your child walks to school and wants to wear wellies or other shoes to walk to and from school in that is fine. They can change into their school shoes when they come into school each day. Finally, please can you ensure that as the weather is getting colder and wetter that your child brings a coat to school every day.
Accompanying this letter is a copy of the new lunch menu, which starts after half term and runs through until Easter. School meals cost £2.15 a day, £10.75 a week or £75.25 for the half term.
Breakfast club starts at 8.10am each day, and is open to anybody who wants to attend. There is no need to pre book, simply turn up. The cost is 80p a day
A big congratulations to those children who were part of our Y2/3 Tag Rugby Team on Monday. The children played 6 games of Tag Rugby and showed great determination and resilience. The Tournament was a fun festival with the aim of introducing the children to the sport. Well done to all our players.
Thank you very much to everybody who helped organise last night’s Disco, and then came back this morning to help tidy up. The children all had a great time, and your help and support is very much appreciated.
