Dear Parents,
We are now approaching the end of our 2nd week of Home School, and I hope that you and your children are all well and healthy.
We will continue to update our website, Facebook page and the Children’s Google Classroom’s with activities for them to do. If you haven’t yet had a look at the Google Classroom for your child, please do. It should be fairly simple for you to access following the steps below.
Go to www.sch.im, you will see this box near the top of the screen.
Enter your user name and click login.
Your username will be childsname@online.sch.im
The password was sent home in a separate letter when school closed. If you have forgotten this information please e-mail me and I will reset it. Jurbyheadteacher@sch.im
When you are logged in click on the ‘dots’ to the left of your name, and then select Google classroom.
If you need more help simply search Google Classroom and there are plenty of help films to watch.

The most important activity that you can do with your child at the moment is spend time with them, reassure them and talk to them. Enjoy time as a family, playing games, doing art and craft activities, and trying to have fun.
It will help all children if they keep on reading, try and read a book with your child every day if possible. We are hoping to be able to find a way of getting more reading books to you, but are currently waiting on advice from Public Health. In the meantime there are plenty of websites offering free e-books. We would recommend having a look at Oxford Owl, just search for ‘Oxford Owl free reading books’, or follow the link on our website and Facebook page.
We hope to see you all again very soon, and in the meantime please feel free to send us any photos you like of your home learning and we will put them online for everyone to see.
Best Wishes
Mr W Nelson
